Happy Halloween!

We had a good one, although it was really freakin' cold here. Jake had his school party this morning, and then I took the boys to the mall for some warm, indoor trick or treating fun. Then we went out to my parent's house, and Jake got to hand out candy there. Kids would come to the door, and he'd say "I'm going to get you LOTS of candy!!!"

Some pictures of the halloweeners:

Other than that, there just hasn't been much going on around here. Poor Jeff has been busting his ass at work, and in turn, I've been busting my ass at home. The unemployment rate here is so low that finding staff is impossible. I am scared to see what Christmas shopping is going to be like because nearly every store has a help wanted sign in the window.

Jeff has been without a shift manager for a month now, without even a prospect. So he's been stuck opening and closing the store pretty much half the time, and that's if things go well. If they don't, like today, (which he was supposed to have off, but two people called in, so he had to miss halloween) he has to go in and cover. It just sucks on so many levels, but mainly because he is missing out on so much. Daniel is progressing so fast right now, literally learning new things every day, and Jeff is missing a lot. I know he is bummed out about it, and I wish there was something I could do to help, but there really isn't. So I just try to get extra pictures and video, but it doesn't really make up for it. Poor guy, he works so hard and gets so little recognition for it, when he really deserves so much more.

So yeah. Not so much to say.
